Obama Wins North Carolina; Narrowly loses in Indiana!
Last night Obama cruised to monumental 14 percentage point victory over Hillary Clinton. Hillary managed to win in Indiana by a slim 2 percentage points. With only 5 contests left, CNN’s John King pointed out that “even if Hillary won every remaining contest 65% to Obama’s 35%, she would still not be able to catch him in the end.”
So why I ask, is she still running? As I see it, her unwillingness to concede this race actually hurts the Democratic Party’s chance at winning the election in Novenmber. This election was practically guaranteed to whichever Democrat secured the nomination. However, the longer this race continues, the more McCain flies under the radar.
Remember, McCain is not enemy #1 to many Democrats. John Kerry’s campaign even briefly flirted with the idea of a Kerry/McCain ticket in 2004. With that being said, McCain should not be allowed to continue to enjoy a free pass. The debate needs to shift toward him and his record. So…
