To the People of God,

Is the Pastor really a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing? Many of our brothers have asked me about the statement Pastor Hogan made at Pastor Newton’s anniversary at Fairview Church.

“No “man” can make you step down because no “man”
called you to preach.”

Let us just open the book and see what the Word of God says about this situation. Pastor Newton is one that practices the wicked sin of adultery.

Paul says that the people of God should put him out of the church. (I Corinthians 5:13). This tells use that God uses man for this task. It is as simple as looking in the Word of God and doing what the Word instructs us to do. The Bible tells us that we should be doers of the word and not just hearers of the word.

It is not easy to do as the Bible instructs. But we must remember that Our God is a God that killeth and maketh alive. We must remember that God loves His sheep so very much that He gave His only begotten Son. Now, what must God really think of a man that repeatedly has extra marital affairs and babies out of wedlock holding God’s precious office of Shepard /Pastor that should watch over His precious Sheep? God tells us in his word what he thinks in I Timothy that a Pastor must present himself blameless.

It seems that Pastor Hogan wanted to encourage Newton and the members of Fairview Baptist Church. He meant well; however, his instruction to Newton is contrary to what the Bible says. We must remember that there are ways that seemeth to be right unto man; but, the ends thereof is death.
