OAKLAND, OK — Some citizens in Oakland, Oklahoma are distancing themselves from their town mayor and even calling for her resignation. An audio recording of a July council meeting captured Margarette Redwine, the mayor of Oakland, using a racial epithet.The meeting took place July 7th, when the town’s board of trustees began discussing a problem with chickens. That’s when Mayor Redwine spoke up and voiced her solution to the problem, and suggested a slingshot could be used, except she did not use the word slingshot. What she did say was a phrase that many people find horribly offensive.
“…go out there and get you an old N_gg_r shooter (slang for slingshot) and take care of it and put it in the pot.”
When asked if she was a racist, Redwine replied, No I am not, No I am not. I have several black people married into my family and I am not.

If they really want to get rid of those chickens, they should just hand Jerold and Ryan B a couple of bottles of hotsauce and some light bread.

Well well well, Big Jim how did I know you would have the first comment here…I am so entertained by you…lol…Your voice and the voice of “you people” needs to be heard because We as blacks need to be aware. We need to keep our eyes open to the fact that “you people” are the minority but we have not won just yet. We have alot of work ahead of us to grow as a people. There is still so much more for us to take. So much more to learn. Don’t get angry “my black people” there is nothing to be angry about. This is just one more Mayor’s job we need to take.
